The Beauty of Boutique Shopping

If you’re new to this blog, maybe this is your first time reading, I’ll let you in on a little something about me. I love anything that is odd, different, or unique. Something that grabs attention. And if you’re one of those people to, then the best places to go to find different things for yourself or your home are boutique shops. Any place that is not part of a large chain of stores across the nation, but may have only one store in one location, in an artsy part of a random city. These are the best places to find something that you won’t see anyone else have, especially if you find it while on vacation. Plus, it’s helping support small, local businesses. And with this economy, we should support those brave souls that endeavor down the “own your own business” road. (Speaking of which, if you live in CO Springs and are craving pizza, look up the local Marco’s Pizza. My best friend has just opened the place and is the general manager. Maybe I can swing a coupon for you)

Back on topic. I recently went to one of these boutique’s that sold things for the home and I snapped a few pictures of some of the things I liked there. I thought I would share them and promote the store for those who live in the area. So below you will see the pictures and the store is Bobby Todd’s in Sweetwater, TN.

I like the reflective aspect of this wall sconce. It doubles the amount of light that little candle gives off.

I love these white owls. I just wish they weren't vases. I think it looks odd for them to have flowers sticking out of their heads.

I think this chandelier is meant to hold wine bottles. Clever.

Since, I was traveling yesterday, I just want to say that I, like every other American, was thinking about and praying for those who were most affected by the attacks on 9/11. And thank you to all who served and are still serving this country.

Have a great day!
